Mountain Lion Chained To Circus Truck His Entire Life Takes First Free Steps After Harrowing Rescue

A mountain lion, which is accepted to be have been the last wild creature in a Peruvian carnival, has been liberated from the back of a truck where he had been chained for approximately 20 years and released into nature.

Mufasa (mountain lion’s name) sat quietly as wildlife authorities in an unidentified region of northern Peru removed the harness that had kept him attached to a rusty gear in the back of an old pickup truck. He then extended his legs and his torso correctly for the first time in about two decades.

Mufasa was tied up with a heavy harness enclosed around his whole body. Individuals from ADI are no outsiders to tragic sights, yet Creamer portrayed it as one of the saddest sights you could ever see, including, “It was like he wasn’t even alive.”

Mufasa was brought back to health in the rehabilitation centre and released in September in the Tambopata reserve in the Amazon rainforest in southeastern Peru, which harbours some of the least impacted habitats in the world.
